Graduate Practicum

Jenny Roselius, LPC is now accepting applicants for our Graduate Practicum in Counseling for Spring and Summer 2024.

 

To apply for a placement in our Graduate Practicum in Counseling program, please email your cover letter and CV to practicum@jennyroseliuslpc.com. In addition, Jenny Roselius, LPC requires two letters of recommendation, one from a professor and one from a professional with whom you have worked or interned. These application materials will be reviewed and you will be notified within 5-10 business days if you are invited to interview for the position.

 

Program Details

 

Jenny Roselius, LPC owns and operates a solo private practice nestled within a collaborative network of other sole proprietors. What this means is that you will experience the feel of being a part of a group practice with opportunities to learn from and collaborate with other clinicians in the office who have various specialities while being under the direct supervision of one private practice clinician.  Graduate-level interns/practicum students will be given opportunities to provide individual (and occasionally couples or family therapy) both independently and within a co-therapy context and learn about evidence-based approaches to treating eating disorders, OCD,  anxiety and a variety of other presenting concerns. You will also be given opportunities to gain experience in group therapy.

 

This is a non-paid practicum experience. You will receive one hour of individual clinical supervision weekly. Jenny Roselius, LPC will work with your graduate program and practicum supervisor to ensure all university/program requirements are met.

 

Minimum Qualifications for Graduate Student Practicum Placement

 

  • Must be on LPC track degree program at an accredited university

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to learning evidence-based approaches to treating various mental health disorders

  • Demonstrate strong understanding of CBT and general understanding of third-wave cognitive behavioral approaches (i.e.  ACT, ERP)

  • Maintain strong ethical and professional boundaries

  • Collaborate effectively and creatively in group setting

  • Must be teachable and have a desire for professional growth

  • Strong communication skills and willingness to ask questions

  • Commit to at least two semesters of Graduate Practicum to Jenny Roselius, LPC

  • Commit to at least one evening or Friday per week for client appointments as part of required 5-10 hour weekly commitment to Jenny Roselius, LPC
